We are seeking a skilled Shift Foreman to lead our mooring crews during vessel docking and undocking operations. This role is responsible for ensuring each job is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with hands-on leadership experience in a marine or industrial environment.

ABOUT THE JOB

Supervise and direct mooring crews during assigned shiftsEnsure safe, timely, and efficient docking and undocking of vesselsOperate and work aboard small boats used for mooring operationsCoordinate job assignments, crew deployment, and equipment readinessMaintain accurate shift logs and job reportsCommunicate effectively with the Operations Manager, vessel personnel, and clientsEnforce safety regulations, PPE requirements, and company policiesAssist with crew training and development

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and direct mooring crews during assigned shifts
  • Ensure safe, timely, and efficient docking and undocking of vessels
  • Operate and work aboard small boats used for mooring operations
  • Coordinate job assignments, crew deployment, and equipment readiness
  • Maintain accurate shift logs and job reports
  • Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager, vessel personnel, and clients
  • Enforce safety regulations, PPE requirements, and company policies
  • Assist with crew training and development

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in marine operations, ship mooring, or related industry preferred
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills
  • Proficient in the safe operation of small boats in various conditions
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and marine regulations
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and during irregular hours
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred: Prior experience in marine operations, ship mooring, or related industry preferredProven leadership and supervisory skillsProficient in the safe operation of small boats in various conditionsStrong understanding of safety procedures and marine regulationsAbility to work in all weather conditions and during irregular hoursGood problem-solving skills and attention to detail

OTHER

Salary estimate is based on four days on and four days off. Additional shifts are available.
