The Field Applications Engineer, supporting the Ground Telemetry Solutions (GTS) group, will be responsible for contributing to new opportunities and supporting existing customers for the GTS product lines in the United States West Coast territory, with a primary focus on the California region to ensure a robust pipeline and reputation of excellent customer support.
Direct report to the Executive Vice President, Strategy & Business Development for Safran Defense & Space Inc (DSI)Support sales opportunities via product demonstrations at customer sites, trade shows, and other hosted eventsProvide customer feedback and concerns to Engineering teams for resolution and continuous improvement of products and featuresAssist the Sales team with growth for the West Coast market, focused on the Telemetry product line, which encompasses Ground-Based Equipment, such as Antenna, Receivers, Recorders, etcHelp generate new business opportunities in tangential markets like Space, Missiles, Hypersonic, Watercraft, ETVOLs, etc., and manage existing accounts as directed by periodic contactMaintain a thorough knowledge of customer program requirements, current and future opportunities, production schedules, organizational structure, and key decision-makers in the military and prime customersSubmit intelligence from customers, contacts, publications, etc. concerning competition, new product ideas, pricing, industry trends, and customer attitudesAssist with strategic roadmaps that enhance existing products or require development solutions with a business case based on customer feedbackOther duties as assignedPrepare a Fellowship experience presentation to leadership upon completion of SkillBridge Program
