ABOUT THE JOB

Fire Alarm Technician. The Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice will be expected to learn how to read construction and fire alarm installation drawings. They will learn how to install fire alarm system wiring, panels, devices, and other fire alarm related equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings/facilities. Troubleshooting and repair of wiring and devices using circuit analysis on faulty systems will also be taught. The training will involve classroom, directed field, and a significant amount of self-directed training and research. CFSC is looking for a passionate Fire Alarm Technician who enjoys a challenge, can understand concepts quickly, has passion for other’s success and is willing to dive into tough technical problems that impact our industry

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn how to read construction and fire alarm installation drawings.
• Install fire alarm system wiring, panels, devices, and other related equipment in various types of buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring and devices using circuit analysis on faulty systems.
• Participate in classroom, directed field, and self-directed training and research.

The construction industry is extremely schedule and deadline driven which requires participants to employ effective intelligence, strong time management and communication skills, possess drive, and display adaptability to unique situations. We are looking for resilient candidates that have a curious mind and are not afraid to ask questions, exhibit integrity, promote team-ability and be humble enough to learn from mistakes.
