Participate in a Department of Defense SkillBridge internship with the Cincinnati Police Department, gaining hands-on experience in law enforcement operations, community policing, and administrative support. Strengthen skills in situational awareness, professionalism, teamwork, and adherence to legal and ethical standards in a law enforcement environment.
The SkillBridge Intern will support the Cincinnati Police Department through a structured training program designed to provide transitioning service members with exposure to civilian law enforcement operations. Under the guidance of sworn officers and department staff, the intern will observe and assist with daily policing activities, administrative functions, and community engagement initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in public safety, criminal justice procedures, and interagency coordination.Key Responsibilities:• Assist with report preparation, records management, and general administrative duties • Support evidence handling procedures in accordance with department policy • Shadow investigations to gain insight into case development • Assist with community outreach programs and public safety education efforts • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal, ethical, and departmental standards • Collaborate with sworn and civilian personnel to support departmental operations
