As a Direct Service Professional (DSP) focused on group outings and community integration, you’ll support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in exploring, engaging, and thriving in real-world environments.From group volunteer projects and recreational outings to community-based employment and social activities, you’ll help create experiences that foster independence, skill-building, and meaningful connections.

It helps us build well-balanced teams and match people with roles where they can thrive.What You’ll Do:Lead and support group outings such as volunteer work, recreational activities, shopping trips, and social eventsProvide transportation and supervision to ensure safe and positive community engagementTeach and model appropriate social skills and community behavior in real-world settingsEncourage participation, independence, and self-determination during group activitiesCollaborate with team members to create engaging outing opportunities tailored to client interests and goalsProvide crisis prevention and intervention support as needed (NVCI training provided)Maintain a positive, fun, and supportive environment where all participants feel includedComplete daily notes, behavior tracking, and documentation within 24 hoursAdvocate for individuals in public settings and help foster acceptance and inclusion in the broader communitySupport individuals in alignment with their individualized service plans and behavior protocolsWho You Are:You’re energetic, reliable, and enjoy being out and about. You thrive in group settings, love planning fun and purposeful outings, and know how to keep things organized while creating space for connection.
