The Dimensional Inspector SkillBridge program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in receiving inspection & quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. Participants will develop the skills to perform dimensional inspections, interpret engineering drawings, use inspection equipment, and ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable standards. This program builds foundational capability in inspection techniques, non-conformance identification, and documentation processes to support manufacturing quality operations based on business needs.
The Dimensional Inspector participates in a structured training program designed to develop foundational inspection skills within the manufacturing quality assurance environment. The trainee will perform hands-on inspections of components and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and internal procedures. Training focuses on receiving inspection processes, inspection equipment usage, documentation practices, and quality standards to prepare the participant to perform independent inspection tasks.
Must be able to read blueprints for machined parts (ASME Y14.5) and have an understanding of shop mathematics, including basic algebra and trigonometry.Minimum of one year of inspection and/or machining experienceMinimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent gained through training and/or experience in mechanical areas.

Program duration and training scope may be expanded or condensed based on participant experience, qualifications, and transition timeline. Due to DoW requirements, candidates must be US citizens. Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
