American Fabrication Academy
American Fabrication Academy is located in “The Circle City” of Corona, CA. Our first class started in 2019 with just 3 students. Since then, we have acquired national accreditation with the Council on Occupational Education and now train up to 84 students a day between four day and three night classes. Our 6 dedicated, knowledgeable instructors offer over 25 years of experience and expertise to students, resulting in a 93% placement rate for 2021. Our career services department assists students with resumes, job searches, and interview skills and offers lifetime job placement assistance.
ABOUT THE JOB
The objective of the Essentials of Fabrication course is to provide military students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the world of welding, fabrication, and machining. Students will spend 600 hours learning a variety of hands-on skills including MIG and TIG welding, tube bending and notching, bead rolling, chassis building, and blueprint comprehension. Graduates from the program generally find jobs in the aerospace, motorsports, railroad, and restaurant industry. The cost for the program is $27,750.00 and the students *GI BILL ® will cover tuition. All books, uniforms, equipment, and supplies are included in the tuition, as well as an AWS certification in TIG welding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn and apply knowledge of welding, fabrication, and machining
- Understand and perform MIG and TIG welding
- Engage in tube bending and notching
- Participate in bead rolling and chassis building
- Comprehend and utilize blueprints
QUALIFICATIONS
- Military background (target MOCs: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force)
- Commitment to a 600-hour training program
- Interest in pursuing a career in aerospace, motorsports, railroad, or restaurant industry
