The Coffee Operations & Business Development Fellow is a transitioning service member participating in a structured training program designed to develop skills in specialty coffee operations, retail management, production, and customer engagement. The fellow will rotate through multiple functional areas of the business to gain hands-on experience and identify the best long-term role based on their strengths, background, and interests. This program is designed to develop individual skills in one or more areas of the business depending on the participant’s existing skillset, professional background, and career goals.
The fellow will participate in a structured training program that provides hands-on experience across several areas of the coffee business, including café operations, coffee production, logistics, marketing, and customer education. Responsibilities may include preparing and serving coffee beverages, assisting with café operations and inventory management, supporting roasting and production processes, coordinating deliveries, contributing to marketing initiatives, and assisting with tours or educational events. The fellow will work closely with mentors and supervisors, receive regular feedback, and complete a capstone project demonstrating the skills and knowledge gained during the program. The program is designed to develop individual strengths and may emphasize one or more functional areas of the business depending on the fellow’s skills, experience, and interests.
