The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and be proficient in using a range of tools and equipment. The technician will be responsible for preparing, painting, and coating Structural parts, ensuring a high-quality finish while adhering to specifications given. Must be able to be flexible, time conscious and able to move from project to project with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to meet production deadlines and to check their own work.
Skillbridge participants will become knowledgeable and gain hands on experience in the following areas; Duties:Apply paint using various methods including airless paint spraying and traditional brush techniques.Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate application and adherence to specifications.Mix and thin all types of coatings as instructed in written specifications.Refinish aircraft parts and other items as assigned.Comply with proper storage and precautions for paints and solvents.Ensure a clean and safe working environment.Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.Other duties as assigned.Operate equipment safely and efficiently during the painting process.Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality.Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.Experience:Gain familiarity with Alodine, Anodization and Passivation.Gain experience with airless paint spraying techniques.Demonstrates the ability to work well with other individuals throughout the organization.Works closely and communicates with shop management.Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Will have an understanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal as related to the job assignment.Have overall teamwork, organization, and communication skills.Pay based on experience.Join our team as a Painter where your skills will contribute significantly to our projects while working in a dynamic environment focused on quality and efficiency.
