The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, BattleGround to Breaking Ground - Skills Training Program (BGBG-STP) is a certificate program that provides education & training for transitioning military members seeking self-employment in agriculture production. The program is approximately 89 days in length, and participants will receive training in agriculture business planning, agriculture business management, and agriculture production practices. The training includes online education and hands-on skills training with an assigned mentor.
The BattleGround to Breaking Ground Skills Training Program is intended to lead to self-employment in agriculture, as well as, provide the needed skills and training for farm or ranch management careers.
No prerequisite eligibility requirements
All MOCs
US Air Force, US Army, US Coast Guard, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Space Force
