The service member will receive focused training as a Warehouse Associate responsible for the storage, handling, movement, and distribution of materials and products within a GMP-regulated life sciences manufacturing environment. The role supports warehouse, receiving, shipping, and logistics operations while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Process Sciences teams to ensure efficient and compliant operations.Training will include the use of SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for inventory management, material transactions, cycle counting, receiving, and shipping activities. The service member will learn to perform warehouse operations in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and quality standards while supporting the flow of materials throughout the facility.Internship work schedules will be determined based on operational requirements and will not exceed 40 hours per week.
Training and Responsibilities May Include:Receiving, unloading, storing, picking, and shipping materials, products, and samples.Supporting manufacturing operations through material movement for Drug Substance, Drug Product, Finished Goods, Weigh/Dispense, and Raw Material Sampling areas.Utilizing SAP ERP systems to perform goods receipts, goods issuance, inventory transactions, picking, shipping, and material tracking activities.Executing warehouse operations in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.Conducting inventory management activities, including cycle counts, bin checks, and materials reconciliation.Operating powered industrial trucks (PIT), including forklifts and electric pallet jacks, to safely transport materials throughout the facility.Participating in GEMBA walks, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.Supporting qualification and validation activities for controlled storage environments, including ambient, refrigerated, freezer, and hazardous material areas.Collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Raw Material Sampling, and Weigh/Dispense teams to ensure timely and compliant material flow.Maintaining required training qualifications and adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
Preferred QualificationsBioWork Certificate or a minimum of 2.5 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing experience.Forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT).Experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory management, shipping/receiving, or supply chain operations preferred.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma (or equivalent).Minimum of 3 years of honorable military service.
