IT / Cloud Analyst-EngineerThe IT / Cloud Analyst-Engineer SkillBridge position provides transitioning service members with hands-on experience in enterprise IT operations, cloud administration, automation, and continuous process improvement. Participants will build upon core systems administration knowledge in both on-premises and hosted environments while developing practical skills in provisioning, monitoring, maintaining, and decommissioning cloud-based services. This role also emphasizes scripting and automation to support scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure management across distributed environments. Through rotational assignments, mentorship, and project-based learning, participants will gain exposure to key IT functions and develop the technical and professional skills needed for success in civilian technology roles.

ABOUT THE JOB

Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject Execution and Operational Support (40%)Participate in assigned IT and cloud-related projects with professionalism, initiative, and accountability. Support project objectives by completing assigned tasks on schedule and to quality standards. Help define priorities, execute deliverables, and contribute to operational goals that enhance service reliability, efficiency, and mission readiness. Provide support for additional technical and administrative tasks as needed to ensure continuity of IT operations.Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving (30%)Apply structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methods to resolve technical, quality, and process-related issues in a timely manner. Gather, assess, and analyze relevant information before making recommendations, including consideration of operational risk and long-term impacts. Identify opportunities to strengthen IT processes, service delivery, and customer support, and communicate improvement recommendations to leadership. Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and customers by understanding requirements and delivering responsive support.Rotation-Based Learning and Professional Development (30%)Participate in a structured developmental rotation designed to build foundational knowledge across key IT functional areas. Learn through formal training, mentorship, and hands-on immersion in operational environments. Gain exposure to enterprise IT execution, cloud service management, infrastructure support, and automation practices. Provide periodic status updates and present accomplishments, lessons learned, and contributions to leadership at the conclusion of each rotation and at the end of the SkillBridge program.

• Continuously support miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Apply continuous improvement methods to resolve quality and other problems in a timely fashion.
• Gather and analyze sufficient information prior to making decisions, including risk and long-term implications.
• Identify areas that require strengthening and bring forward to management.
• Support the strategy to improve Process and Overall Quality of the products and services that IT provides.
• Build relationships and network to achieve trust and credibility, by discovering and meeting the needs of customers.
• Learn and develop assigned skills of IT through foundational assigned learning, mentorship, immersion in assigned areas of rotation.
• Gain valuable insights into operation and execution of the IT Organization by rotating through each of the key areas.
• Provide regular status reports, present to all levels of leadership your accomplishments at end of each rotation and at end of 12-month program.

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• 5 years relevant cloud experience
• Certification is preferred
