This SkillBridge position is a full-time, immersive post-professional clinical training experience designed for licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy transitioning from military service into advanced civilian clinical practice. The program focuses on integration of the Camisa Method clinical system, which combines the McGill Method for spine and load management, Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM), advanced movement and biomechanical assessment, and neurodynamic evaluation and treatment applied across the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems, including spine, upper extremity, lower extremity, and complex multi-joint conditions. Training is delivered under the direct mentorship of Dr. Joseph J. Camisa, PT, DPT, a McGill Method Master Clinician and one of only two physical therapists worldwide to have been granted Master Clinician status by Dr. Stuart McGill. Upon successful completion, participants may be considered for full-time employment.
The SkillBridge participant will serve as an Advanced Physical Therapy Fellow within a high-level outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation clinic, participating in a full-time, immersive clinical training experience. The role focuses on integration of advanced clinical systems, including the McGill Method for spine and load management, Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM), comprehensive movement and biomechanical assessment, and neurodynamic evaluation and treatment applied to the entire kinetic chain and neuromuscular system. All training and progressive clinical responsibility occur under the direct supervision and mentorship of Dr. Joseph J. Camisa, PT, DPT, a McGill Method Master Clinician and one of only two physical therapists worldwide recognized by Dr. Stuart McGill with Master Clinician status. The fellow will progress from clinical observation to increasing levels of hands-on patient care, including evaluation, manual therapy, exercise prescription, movement retraining, and documentation. Autonomy increases based on demonstrated competence and rate of skill development, with the goal of supervised full caseload management by the end of the program and potential transition into full-time employment.
-New Jersey Physical Therapy License -Ability to participate in full-time, in-person clinical training-McGill Method certification completed prior to starting the program or obtained early during the SkillBridge training period (required)-Willingness to complete Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) coursework and other advanced clinical education as part of the training pathway-Strong interest in advanced orthopedic, sports, and movement-based rehabilitation-Openness to mentorship, feedback, and progressive clinical autonomy based on demonstrated competence
