This position will instruct, develop, validate, and maintain orbital warfare (OW) training and course material at the 319th Combat Training Squadron, Peterson SFB CO for USSF's Officer Training Course (OTC).
Specific Duties:- Develop, qualify on, and deliver in-residence OW course materials consistent with the principles of Instructional Systems Design (ISD), and aligned to 319 CTS instructions, security classification guides, and other guidance as identified in lesson plans - Interface with internal and external orbital warfare and analysis agencies as required to maintain a state-of-the-art training program - Coordinate instructional activities with the Contract Course Lead, and government supervisory personnel Required Skills:- Demonstrated knowledge with orbital mechanics, orbit determination and analysis, maneuver planning, Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO), orbital engagement maneuvers, and space surveillance operations - Possess expert knowledge of capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities of US and foreign space systems - Possess working knowledge of and experience with operational level command and control - Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience of military, government civilian and contract personnel- Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or similar joint instructor course preferred - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
