The Bastion Group Internship

The SkillBridge Intern supports Bastion Group project teams in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects while completing structured training modules. Interns develop practical skills applicable to civilian project management careers through supervised mentorship and hands-on learning.

ABOUT THE JOB

Supports Bastion Group project teams in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects while completing structured training. Assists with drawing review, estimating exercises, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, safety coordination, and subcontractor communication. Participates in jobsite walks and project meetings while learning construction workflows from preconstruction through closeout. Develops competencies in OSHA safety practices, construction documentation, project controls, and professional communication to prepare for civilian construction management roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• Must be an Active Duty Service Member eligible for SkillBridge participation.
• Command approval required prior to start date.
• Ability to work in office and active construction jobsite environments.
• Willingness to comply with OSHA safety requirements and jobsite rules.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or willingness to learn.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand, walk jobsites, and climb stairs/ladders as required.
• Reliable transportation to office and jobsite locations.
