Imperative Chemical Partners (ICP) is offering a SkillBridge Employment Skills Training opportunity for transitioning service members interested in software quality assurance, testing strategy, and Agile delivery environments.This structured training program will provide hands-on experience within ICP’s Advanced Digital Technologies team, supporting enterprise-level software applications and QA processes.The SkillBridge participant will work closely with development teams, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to support quality assurance efforts across multiple Agile projects.
Quality Assurance AnalystReports To: Director, Solution Delivery and SupportDirect Reports: NoDepartment: Advanced Digital TechnologiesFLSA Code: ExemptSUMMARYThe QA Analyst will play a hands-on role in the testing and quality assurance of software applications, as well as QA processes. The QA Analyst will play an active role in a variety of Agile projects, and will serve as the front line for testing. Additionally, he/she will work with the power users of each department and establish testing sessions, build out test scripts for teams, and cycle through that testing with them. The company currently does manual testing, but as this person gets established, the QA Analyst will help define what the future of testing looks like within the company and help them continue to push forward.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Determine testing plan and execute all the testing activities within the organization from planning to execution• Collaborate with testing lead, development teams, product manager, and other stakeholders to own testing outcomes• Review and maintain test documentation and ensure it is up-to-date, complete, and accurate, ensuring each step of the testing procress is well documented for future replication • Provide feedback and suggestions to the development team on product improvement This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE: • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the process of software development• Ability to analyze business, technical, and functional needs and requirements• Experience with planning, testing, managing test cases, and resolving bugs found during testing activities• Familiarity with a variety of testing methods including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, functional testing, performance testing, automated testing, etc. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.• Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years of experience with Quality Assurnace in an enterprise environment• Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile processes and methodologies.PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS• Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.This description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not exclude or restrict the tasks that may be assigned or re-assigned.
