Nixa Fire Protection District MO Firefighter/EMT Program

We are looking to provide an internship opportunity to members transitioning from Military to Civilian life. Ideally the candidates would have IFSAC Firefighter 1 & 2 certification and/or National Registry EMT-Basic and be looking for employment as a civilian firefighter after their military service.

ABOUT THE JOB

Full Time employment as a Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full Time employment as a Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic.

QUALIFICATIONS

• IFSCA Firefighter 1 & 2 certification
• National Registry EMT-Basic
• Transitioning from Military to Civilian life

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY

Fire Academy Opportunity to receive Firefighter and EMT Certification runs from early February to Mid-May each year for those who need training. Certified individuals have much more flexibility in scheduling throughout the year.
