This SkillBridge opportunity provides on-the-job training for participants who intend to pursue a career in Contracting. The 24-week training plan is designed to teach participants the basic Contracting knowledge and core tasks required for an entry level contract specialist. Participants will be working on new contract requirements and administering existing contracts in support of the 4th Fighter and its tenant units.
ABOUT THE JOB
Execute pre- and post-award contract actions that include, but not limited to, market research, acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation, contract award, contract administration, and closeout in support of the organization's mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute pre-award contract actions including market research, acquisition planning, solicitation, and evaluation
- Execute post-award contract actions including contract award, contract administration, and closeout
- Work on new contract requirements and administer existing contracts in support of the 4th Fighter and its tenant units
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic Contracting knowledge
- Ability to perform core tasks required for an entry level contract specialist
