Risk Mitigation Consulting provides cybersecurity, mission assurance, critical infrastructure protection, and intelligence services to DoD and USGOV clients. Our cybersecurity internship is designed to expose interns to complex, real-world issues that pose threats to our national security and how those threats impact mission execution of our military installations and operating forces. ABOUT THE JOB

The Cybersecurity FRCS Specialist (Intern) will learn how to provide cybersecurity and accreditation guidance to clients. They will learn proactively investigate cybersecurity issues, monitor progress, and regularly report to the FRCS program manager. Additionally, they will collaborate with other cybersecurity assessment teams, facilitating data sharing and coordinating assessment activities. Our cybersecurity inter will gain experience in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing cybersecurity data, enabling them to create high-quality client reports and documentation. They will come away from our program with strong writing and communication skills, proficiency in software tools, and in-depth understanding of cybersecurity domains. Further, our intern will be exposed to OT and IT auditing and gain familiarity with DoD policies and effective problem-solving practices in the dynamic DoD domain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide cybersecurity and accreditation guidance to clients.
  • Proactively investigate cybersecurity issues, monitor progress, and regularly report to the FRCS program manager.
  • Collaborate with other cybersecurity assessment teams, facilitating data sharing and coordinating assessment activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize cybersecurity data to create high-quality client reports and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency in software tools
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity domains
  • Familiarity with OT and IT auditing
  • Familiarity with DoD policies
  • Effective problem-solving practices in the dynamic DoD domain
