We are seeking a highly experienced Aviation Maintenance Data Analytics Lead to support advanced aviation maintenance operations through data-driven analysis and performance optimization. This role requires extensive knowledge of data analytics methodologies and their application within aviation maintenance environments, particularly in improving aircraft readiness and system availability.The selected candidate will apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate and enhance availability metrics at the system, subsystem, and component levels. This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting mission-critical aviation programs.This position is also open to DoD SkillBridge candidates transitioning from active-duty service.
Key ResponsibilitiesApply advanced data analytics techniques to aviation maintenance datasets to improve operational readiness and aircraft availability.Develop, monitor, and optimize availability metrics at the:Aircraft system levelSubsystem levelIndividual component levelAnalyze maintenance trends, reliability data, and failure rates to identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.Support maintenance planning and forecasting through predictive analytics and statistical modeling.Collaborate with maintenance control, engineering, logistics, and program leadership to implement data-driven improvements.Develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for leadership decision-making.Provide recommendations for process improvements that enhance fleet readiness and reduce downtime.Ensure compliance with government and program data requirements.Required QualificationsExtensive knowledge of data analytics principles, tools, and methodologies.Demonstrated experience applying analytics within aviation maintenance environments.Proven experience analyzing availability metrics at system, subsystem, and component levels.Active Secret security clearance (required to start).Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work on-site in Chantilly, VA (no remote option).
Preferred QualificationsPrior military aviation maintenance leadership or Maintenance Control experience.Experience in reliability analysis, predictive maintenance, or condition-based maintenance programs.Familiarity with DoD aviation maintenance data systems and reporting tools.Experience supporting government aviation programs.
