University of New Mexico
The University of New Mexico is proud to offer internships for transitioning military professors to rebuild your academic credentials for future positions in academia.
ABOUT THE JOB
University of New Mexico is the largest university in the state of New Mexico. Laying the foundation for the state’s economic competitiveness, we recruit the best and the brightest faculty, equip them with world-class research tools, and facilities, and provide opportunities to collaborate in research with partners from around the world. This internship at the university, much like an academic sabbatical, is designed to rebuild academic credentials to enable the transition to an academic position. Training includes new instructor training, and research mentorship, and teaching mentorship. As with all faculty, members will receive feedback and guidance from their respective department head. Interns will help support classroom instruction, and will work to rebuilding a research resume that will support future academic employment. If we are unable to bring you onto our team, the skills you'll learn during the program will enable you to better compete for other academic positions nationwide.
