As a Low Voltage Infrastructure & Systems Technician, you will support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Layer 1 structured cabling, video surveillance systems (VSS), and audio-video/teleconferencing (AV/VTC) systems in commercial and government environments. Participants will gain valuable experience working with industry-standard technologies and tools, developing foundational skills for a career in network infrastructure, physical security, and AV integration. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Job Title:Low Voltage Infrastructure & Systems Technician (SkillBridge Intern)Location:Yigo, GuamProgram:Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge InternshipPosition Type:Internship (Duration based on SkillBridge eligibility)Position Overview:We are offering a unique SkillBridge opportunity for active-duty service members transitioning out of the military to gain real-world experience as a Low Voltage Infrastructure & Systems Technician. This role provides hands-on training in the installation and support of structured cabling (Layer 1), video surveillance systems (VSS), and audio-video/teleconferencing (AV/VTC) systems. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians on mission-critical infrastructure projects in commercial, industrial, and government settings.Responsibilities:Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic)Support the setup, configuration, and alignment of IP-based video surveillance systems (cameras, NVRs, switches)Assist in the integration and setup of AV and video teleconferencing systems including displays, microphones, speakers, control systems, and cablingRead and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specificationsRoute and secure cables through ceilings, walls, and conduit using industry-standard practicesSupport troubleshooting and maintenance of low voltage systems under supervisionAdhere to safety regulations and company policies while on siteDocument work completed and maintain organized project records and inventoryRequired Qualifications:Active-duty U.S. military service member eligible for the SkillBridge programStrong interest or experience in electronics, IT, communications, or mechanical systemsAbility to work with hand and power toolsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn in the fieldPreferred Qualifications:Prior military experience in communications, signal, IT, or electrical fields (e.g., 25B, 25L, 25S, 31E, ET, CE, etc.)Familiarity with low voltage industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI)Experience with surveillance, AV, or structured cabling systemsOSHA 10/30, BICSI Installer, or manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Crestron, Extron) – a plusAbility to obtain or maintain a security clearance (if required)What You'll Gain:Valuable industry experience in a high-demand career fieldMentorship from experienced low voltage professionalsExposure to commercial and government technology integration projectsOpportunity for full-time employment post-internship (based on performance and availability)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic)
- Support the setup, configuration, and alignment of IP-based video surveillance systems (cameras, NVRs, switches)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Active-duty U.S. military service member eligible for the SkillBridge program
- Strong interest or experience in electronics, IT, communications, or mechanical systems
- Ability to work with hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn in the field
- Prior military experience in communications, signal, IT, or electrical fields (e.g., 25B, 25L, 25S, 31E, ET, CE, etc.)
- Familiarity with low voltage industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI)
- Experience with surveillance, AV, or structured cabling systems
- OSHA 10/30, BICSI Installer, or manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Crestron, Extron) – a plus
- Ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance (if required)
