This opportunity is for a training position of up to 16 weeks in duration that will prepare service members for a career as a certified law enforcement officer in Washington State. The Clark County Sheriff's Training Unit will conduct the training at various Clark County locations. Those who are accepted into this program will need to pass all deputy sheriff hiring requirements, including interviews, a polygraph, and psychological and medical evaluations prior to the start of the program. At the completion of the program, the Sheriff’s Office will hire the service members. Once hired, they will attend the Washington Criminal Justice Training Commission Basic Law Enforcement Academy.
