This DoD SkillBridge internship places participants directly within Checkr's Enterprise Sales organization as a Business Development Representative (BDR) intern. Over the course of the program, you will receive structured training and hands-on experience in enterprise technology sales. Upon successful completion, participants will have developed a full, marketable skillset as a BDR and be well-positioned for full-time employment in technology sales.
As a Business Development Representative intern at Checkr, you will generate sales pipeline and support the Enterprise Sales team through strategic outbound prospecting and account research. This program mirrors the onboarding experience of a full-time BDR at Checkr — participants receive the same training, tooling, and mentorship as direct hires. You will learn enterprise SaaS sales fundamentals, CRM management in Salesforce, outbound outreach via email, cold call, and LinkedIn, account research and executive-level communication, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing and account management. No prior sales experience is required. The skills that produce great BDRs — discipline, mission focus, the ability to communicate with clarity, and build trust quickly — are skills the military develops exceptionally well.
