We’re looking for an Electrical Designer to join our Engineering Design Organization! This is an excellent opportunity for you to jump into your Engineering career by working on a variety of electrical power generation, distribution and utilization system projects.Specific Responsibilities· Develop and modify electrical design drawings including single-line diagrams, power distribution layouts, wiring diagrams, and equipment schedules.· Translate field information, redlines, and technical documentation into accurate design deliverables.· Assist with the design of power, lighting, grounding, and control systems for industrial or facility projects.· Apply electrical codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE) under guidance from senior engineers.· Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams to support project execution.· Perform basic equipment selection and assist with technical specifications.· Support construction and installation efforts by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and participating in site walks as needed.· Use CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) to produce and maintain drawings; training provided if required.Successful Skills & Qualifications· Military technical experience working with electrical systems, power generation, propulsion systems, gas turbines, nuclear systems, or high-reliability equipment.· Strong understanding of electrical theory, system troubleshooting, and technical documentation.· Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings.· Detail-oriented with a strong safety mindset and adherence to procedures and standards.· Experience working in structured, regulated, or mission-critical environments.· Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.· Willingness and aptitude to learn electrical design software and civilian industry codes.· Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in an electrical or engineering-related field preferred.· Working knowledge of NFPA70 (NEC) and other electrical industry codes, standards and recommended practices is preferred
