The On-the-Job Training (OJT) Internship at Burbank Electric provides hands-on experience in residential, industrial, and commercial electrical services under the supervision of licensed professionals. Interns gain practical skills in electrical installation, troubleshooting, safety compliance, and jobsite operations while developing a strong understanding of industry standards and customer service expectations.
The OJT Electrical Intern assists licensed electricians with residential, industrial, and commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and service work while receiving structured, hands-on training in the electrical trade. Tasks are not limited to but include:Assist with installation of electrical systems, including panels, circuits, lighting, receptacles, and equipment.Support conduit installation (EMT, PVC, and rigid), wire pulls, terminations, and device mounting.Maintain tools, materials, and organized jobsite work areas.Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and company quality practices.Observe and apply OSHA safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues under supervision.
