Interns will receive hands-on training in property management operations integrated with data analytics and AI-enabled workflows. Training includes managing bookings within the Expedia Group and VRBO ecosystem, coordinating guest communications, preparing check-in/check-out processes, developing guest travel information, and supporting maintenance operations & vendor management. Interns will also develop foundational skills in Python programming, data analysis, Git/GitHub version control, and Generative AI applications for PMS AI workflow automation. The program includes exposure to financial tracking, basic accounting concepts, and operational performance analysis.
1 Week 1 – Orientation & Industry Fundamentals: Overview of property management (short-term vs long-term rentals). Introduction to VRCLE operations and workflows Overview of Expedia Group and Vrbo ecosystem Hospitality and customer service fundamentals Regulatory and compliance basics.2 Week 2 – Guest Experience & Booking Operations: Reservation lifecycle (inquiry → booking → checkout), Guest communication standards and automation Check-in preparation (Access instructions locks, keys, codes, Pre-arrival messaging and confirmations, Guest travel information preparation, Welcome guides Local area information Property instructions), Check-out procedures-Detailed Cleaning & coordination, Turnover scheduling Issue resolution and escalation, Review and service quality management.3 Week 3 – Property Management System (PMS) & Channel Management: PMS fundamentals Calendar and availability synchronization Channel management within Expedia/Vrbo ecosystem Reservation tracking and reporting Hands-on system operations.4 Week 4 – Maintenance & Field Operations: Preventative maintenance planning, cleaning and servicing, Vendor coordination and work order tracking, Inventory and supply management, Incident response procedures, Operational efficiency and cost control.5 Week 5 – Financial Operations & Accounting Fundamentals: Revenue tracking and occupancy metrics, Pricing strategy fundamentals, Introduction to accounting concepts (Balance sheet basics, Income and expense tracking, Record keeping and documentation), Understanding profit/loss in property operations Financial reporting fundamentals .6 Week 6 – Data Analytics & Python Fundamentals: Introduction to data workflows and datasets, Basic Python programming (Variables and data types Simple scripts for data analysis), Operational data analysis (occupancy, pricing trends), Introduction to automation using scripts.7 Week 7 – Git, GitHub & Generative AI Applications: Version control fundamentals (Git) GitHub usage, Repositories Commits and version tracking, Introduction to Generative AI (Prompting fundamentals Use cases in property management AI-assisted workflows), Guest messaging automation Operational decision support Human-in-the-loop oversight. 8 Week 8 – Capstone & Operational Integration: End-to-end property management simulation, Managing bookings, guest interactions, and operations Coordinating check-in/check-out and guest communications, Data reporting and performance analysis, Applying AI and automation workflows, Final presentation and evaluation, Process improvement recommendations.

Interns will receive a Certificate of Completion from Vacation Rental Circle (VRCLE) upon successful completion of the program. Interns will complete approximately 160–240 hours of combined instruction and hands-on training over the duration of the program.Program duration can scale to 180 days, if needed.
