Responsible for the job site safety and job site management of a multi-family construction project. Will report to and work with the guidance of the vice president of construction. Establish written job site safety program and administer with proper documentation, including procure and maintain jobsite safety equipment like first aid kit and fire extinguishers. Also includes leading weekly safety meetings and weekly jobsite safety audits and administering new subcontractors and new worker jobsite safety orientations. Schedule subcontractors for their work activities at the jobsite and coordinate in advance long lead materials delivery to the jobsite. Be main point of contact for subcontractors at the jobsite and resolve issues when they arise. Procure and maintain jobsite general conditions like site fencing, tailer and toilet. Schedule material deliveries to the jobsite, occasionally will require quantity take-offs to determine amount of materials to order, also select and procure equipment delivery to the jobsite. Oversee jobsite labor which will typically be hired from a labor service. Schedule and coordinate jobsite inspections from all authorities having jurisdiction (building inspectors) and from private inspectors like geotechnical engineers. Oversee quality control and create and drive completion of punch lists for work activities and at the end of the project. Occasionally perform jobsite flagging and forklift operations. Keep a daily written record of job site activities.
