This SkillBridge program is designed to provide a transitioning service member with practical, hands-on experience in the field of logistics, supply chain management, property accountability, and fleet management. The program will expose the participant to various aspects of the logistics lifecycle, from planning and sourcing to distribution, sustainment, equipment accountability, and performance monitoring. The participant will work alongside experienced logistics professionals, gaining valuable skills and knowledge to enhance their career prospects in the civilian sector.
Upon completion of this SkillBridge program, the participant will be able to: Understand the basic principles and regulations governing military and government logistics operations. Assist in the preparation of logistics plans and distribution schedules. Perform logistics management tasks, including tracking shipments, managing inventory, and resolving distribution issues. Understand the principles of cost efficiency and resource allocation in logistics. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with current operations. Use common logistics software and tools (e.g., DPAS, DAI, warehouse management systems). Apply property accountability practices, including asset tracking, equipment audits, and compliance with DoD property regulations. Manage fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle replacement planning
