The goal of this Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge internship is to provide the Intern with the training necessary to successfully graduate into a role with Florida Commerce’s Office of Military and Defense. By leveraging the intern's experience and the training provided by Florida Commerce, a career could begin as soon as the servicemember separates from active duty.
ABOUT THE JOB
Contract Manager is a department employee who is responsible for enforcing compliance with administrative and programmatic terms and conditions of a contract. The contract manager is the primary point of contact through which all contracting information flows between the department and the contractor. The contract manager is responsible for day-to-day contract oversight, including approval of contract deliverables and invoices. All actions related to the contract shall be initiated by or coordinated with the contract manager. The contract manager maintains the official contract files.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforcing compliance with administrative and programmatic terms and conditions of a contract.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all contracting information flows between the department and the contractor.
- Day-to-day contract oversight, including approval of contract deliverables and invoices.
- Initiating or coordinating all actions related to the contract.
- Maintaining the official contract files.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Must be able to commit to a 40-hour work week for at least a 3-month period. Basic Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) school required. Professional appearance, clear speaking voice, and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office software and ability to multitask.
