The Esthetician – Manicure Program is designed to provide students with comprehensive foundational knowledge and practical skills in both skincare and nail care services. The program focuses on developing an understanding of skin care principles, treatment procedures, nail services, and professional practices used within the beauty industry. Students will gain the basic knowledge necessary to perform skincare and nail services safely and effectively while learning to recognize common skin and nail conditions and maintain proper sanitation and client care standards. The program also introduces students to several advanced service areas commonly offered in modern skincare settings.
The objective of the Esthetician – Manicure program is to develop, in each student, a basic knowledge of all types of facial services, skin disorders and diseases, and nail disorders and diseases. Students will learn techniques in manicure, pedicure, and artificial nail application services, facial cleansing and facial massage, as well as makeup and various eyelash applications. Additional instruction includes skin analysis, eyelash extensions, laser hair removal, electrolysis, facial machines, and chemical peels.The purpose of the Esthetician – Manicure program is to develop the knowledge and skills in the practice of esthetics, makeup, manicuring, and pedicuring necessary for success on the state board examinations and to gain entry-level employment and long-term career opportunities within the beauty industry.
