This position provides exposure to Production and distribution processes, offering service members a unique opportunity to develop technical, operational, and problem-solving skills in a professional environment.Key Training AreasGraphic Cutter & Kit Assembly Functions: Main functions (CNC Experience)• Learn to operate and maintain graphic cutting equipment to prepare materials for kits.• Assemble and package product kits according to standard operating procedures.• Understand how to perform quality control checks to ensure kit completeness and accuracy.• Track inventory levels and notify management of shortages or discrepancies.General Operations:• Learn how to support cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and efficiency.• Assist with hands-on material handling, part assembly, and order fulfillment (not typical warehousing).• Contribute to process improvement initiatives across operations.Ideal Candidate • Background in Production, logistics, operations, or administration.• Strong organizational and time management skills.• More about the person than prior skills—the right individual can be trained.o Characteristics we value (HEAT): o Hustle, Ethics, Attitude, Teachability, plus Reliability and Integrity.• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and collaborate in a team-based environment.• General care and pride in workmanship—someone who cares about doing the job right.• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred; IT skills are a plus for future needs.• Preference given to candidates with experience in graphic design or cutting equipment, hands-on part assembly, or large-scale industrial production equipment.o Watch this short video demonstrating use of PPF Machine and kit assembly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAiEXtRm3WsTraining Structure & Supervision• Interns will be supervised by experienced Diamond Shield leadership staff and SkillBridge Program Director – Livingston Associates• Wekly performance check-ins, skill-building objectives, and professional development guidance provided.• Exposure to real projects, internal tools, with hands-on experience in Production, kit assembly, and operational processes.Post-SkillBridge Compensation and Benefits:Upon successful completion, candidates may be offered full-time roles with:• Pay range: $20 - $25+/hr.
