Intern Fire Alarm Technicians will learn how to become fire alarm technicians in the civilian sector. Training includes hands on training with a certified technician on real job sites. Desired outcome will be certification through the state and real-world experience.
ABOUT THE JOB
Weeks: 1-8 intern will ride with a certified technician observing and learning how to service and install fire alarms and security systems. Weeks: 9-16 interns will be asked to run the wire, install minor field devices without direct supervision. Weeks: 17+ interns will be expected be able to perform all field install duties outside of programming with little supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weeks 1-8: Ride with a certified technician, observing and learning how to service and install fire alarms and security systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Desire to become a certified fire alarm technician.
