Software Engineer: Join Blue Origin's team as a software engineer to develop, test, and deploy mission-critical software for space vehicle operations including activity planning, commanding, telemetry monitoring, visualization, and training systems for Mission Operations Centers. As a SkillBridge intern, you may work in various roles supporting ground-based systems for space missions, implementing mission planning applications, developing infrastructure requirements, scaling systems through automation, configuring deployment platforms, collaborating with flight operations and subsystem teams, supporting operational fault management and spacecraft commanding/sequencing, and ensuring software meets safety-critical standards throughout the full development lifecycle from design through deployment and refinement.Desired Qualifications: B.S. in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, or related technical field; 2-8+ years software development experience; Space mission flight operations experience; Experience with full software development lifecycle including system design, requirements capture, implementation, verification, integration, and deployment; Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, C, C++, GitLab, or Linux
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum; Active Top-Secret clearance required
