Through our Cyber Security Fellowship Program, fellows will receive hands on experience working with a cyber security team to drive real solutions and learn about the ever evolving cyber threat environment. During their time with The Home Depot, fellows will be afforded critical business exposure and experience, training and networking opportunities, and the consideration for permanent roles within our cyber security teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with a cyber security team to drive real solutions
- Learn about the ever evolving cyber threat environment
- Develop scalable solutions that protect customers and the company from threats
QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Cyber Security principles, including basic understanding of Cybersecurity Governance patterns: Policy -> Standards -> Control Solutions
- Threat Detection and Response principles, Malware Prevention and Detection, Advanced Persistent Threats, Indicators of Attack (IOAs), Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
- Basic Network Security principals – basic segmentation, firewall rules, best practices, limiting administrative ports, protecting workloads with WAF
- System monitoring fundamentals – performance troubleshooting and analysis at system level using native OS performance metrics counters and system logs, ability to correlate logs and events to find root cause of systemic or acute impacting issues
- Basic Data Security principals – encryption in flight, encryption at rest, DLP fundamentals
- Intermediate scripting / automation skills
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
SkillBridge Fellow Success Profile:Bachelor’s Degree concentrating in marketing, or communications; OR 5+ years in public affairsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applicationsPrevious change management experience (driving, influencing and inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels)Solid quantitative and research skills and proven data interpretation capabilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to prepare clear and concise leadership-ready documents
