The RAS Level I Technician is an entry-to-mid-level aircraft maintenance professional responsible for performing routine maintenance, component replacement, and repair procedures on aircraft turbine engines. Operating under the Reliance Aerotech Aviation Maintenance Program, this role emphasizes technical precision, strict adherence to safety regulations, and efficient teamwork in a fast-paced production environment.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:Technical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, component replacement, and troubleshooting on aircraft turbine engines in strict accordance with manufacturer specifications, organizational requirements, and governmental regulations.Documentation & Quality Control: Coordinate engine work scopes with client engineering teams and maintain precise, clear, and concise maintenance sign-offs. Update maintenance and work records using specialized digital platforms (including GE and Boeing Data Systems).Shift Handovers: Actively participate in the "Team" concept by collaborating with site leadership and peers to efficiently share information and transfer unfinished work scopes across shifts.Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to Tool Control and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention practices to maintain a clean and safe industrial working environment.Training & Performance Expectations (First 90 Days):To successfully complete the initial training and probationary period, the technician will be expected to:Complete all initial training modules mandated by Boeing, GE, and RAS.Achieve a score of 80% or higher on the comprehensive open-book technical evaluation.Demonstrate the ability to safely work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to all corporate and governmental policies.
Must possess a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification, OR be actively qualified and fully prepared to test for and obtain the A&P certification within 90 days of the cohort start date.

Specialized Systems & Screening Requirements: > Candidates must possess the technical aptitude to navigate and utilize specialized aviation platforms, including the Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office products, Boeing Data Systems, and GE Data Systems. Position requires compliance with a 10-year criminal background check and a DOT pre-employment drug screening. No direct costs are passed to the service member for this program.
