The SSI Divemaster Internship provides the candidate with the opportunity to gain additional experience by auditing/assisting with an Open Water Diver certification program. Candidates will also gain additional Training Center operations experience and the required total number of dives needed to progress through the SSI system and meet the prerequisites for the SSI Divemaster certification.
The SSI Divemaster certification recognizes candidates who have the knowledge and training necessary to perform the duties of a certified assistant. These duties include guiding certified divers and assisting SSI Instructors with conducting entry-level and continuing education scuba training programs.
