This SkillBridge opportunity provides hands-on technical training for transitioning Service members pursuing a civilian career as a Machinery Service Technician supporting Caterpillar and allied equipment
Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the participant will receive structured training to develop skills in repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and rebuilding Caterpillar and allied equipment in both shop and field environments. Training includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing warranty documentation, performing welding, fabrication, plumbing, and DC electrical repairs, and reconditioning major components to manufacturer specifications. The participant must follow all safety and quality standards and demonstrate professionalism in interactions with customers and suppliers.
Active-duty Service member eligible for SkillBridge -- High School Diploma or equivalent -- Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work -- Ability to work in shop and/or field environments --Willingness to follow safety and operational procedures -- Valid driver’s license (requirements vary by role/location)
