Hands on, on the job training opportunity to become familiar with Strucutral Concrete Form Carpenter position. Participant will be exposed to all facets of form carpenter position, from a company that works in the industrial, water and waste water construction industry. Participant will learn layout, reading plans and construction documents, forming structural slabs/footings, walls and elevated decks, installation of rebar, concrete placement and cure methods. Experience will be gained in the use of common tools and equipment, as well as specialty tools and equipment. Some exposure to administrative skills and duties. Participant will continuously gain experience in safety and planning for the use of safety systems.
Applicant will be able to work in a variety of industrial concrete forming situations. Various form systems ranging from plywood, steel ply, clamp forms, and gang forms are used. Systems vary between hand set and crane set. Rebar placing, pipe and blockout installation, and waterproofing systems are generally part of the position. Applicant will be able to build shoring to construct elevated decks. Position requires attention to safety and a safe working environment. Work is typically in water and waste water environments, as well as energy extraction and generation, and transportation type sectors.
Participant will need a valid drivers license and transportation to an agreed upon meeting location/jobsite. We can transport the participant to the jobsite from an agreed upon meeting location.

In the event a jobsite is not within daily commuting distance, the participant will be provided with the same hotel accomodations, per diem food allowance and company transportation as the other employees. We typically try to work 8 hour days, 40 hour weeks, with weekends off. Occasional overtime and Saturday work, but very rare. Out of town work has been very rare.
