The Test Support Analyst Intern assists with the critical role in supporting the Test Support Analyst in software testing and documentation efforts for IBS-ES systems, including ADM, CIBPT, IBS-M RC/RX and DME components. This role assists the Test Support Analyst that is responsible for executing formal and informal software tests, developing and maintaining test documentation, and contributing to software development efforts in Angular and Java. The analyst also observes customer interactions during formal reviews and supports the validation of system functionality and performance in accordance with DoD standards and IBS program requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist Software Testing & ValidationConduct formal and informal software testing for ADM, CIBPT, IBS-M RC/RX and DME systems.Develop and execute test procedures and test plans in accordance with PWS Section 4.4.4 and 4.4.6.Document test results and contribute to Software Version Descriptions (SVDs) and other technical artifacts.Support validation of system functionality, performance, and interoperability.Assist Software DocumentationCreate and maintain documentation for test procedures, test plans, and software release notes.Ensure documentation aligns with MIL-STD-498 and IBS program standards.Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of deliverables.Assist Software Development SupportProvide occasional development support in Angular and Java for CIBPT, IBS-M RC/RX and DME systems.Assist in troubleshooting and refining software features based on test outcomes and user feedback.Observe Customer & Program InteractionObserve formal reviews and technical interchange meetings with customers and stakeholders.Provide feedback and recommendations based on testing outcomes and system evaluations.REQUIREMENTSFamiliarity or introductory experience with:Software testing concepts (manual testing, test cases, test plans, defect tracking)Writing or maintaining technical documentationReading or interpreting system requirements or specificationsBasic exposure to one or more programming or scripting languages, preferably:JavaAngular / TypeScriptHTML/CSS or similar front-end technologiesExposure to Configuration management or version control tools (e.g., Git)Coursework or academic exposure to one or more of the following is preferred:Software testing or quality assuranceSystems analysis or systems engineeringSoftware development lifecycle (SDLC)Programming concepts (object-oriented preferred)Technical documentation or systems documentationExposure to structured or standards-based environments such as: DoD, government, or regulated systems (preferred but not required)
