NASK SkillBridge Intern Program

The program's scope includes engineering support and operations of one-of-a-kind research and development satellites, to include pre-launch, launch and early orbit mission planning, on-orbit operations, and anomaly resolution. The ideal internship candidate will enjoy working with research and development spacecraft and want to be part of a company providing products and services that span the engineering, testing, operation, and sustainment of critical capabilities and programs ranging from intricate systems and architectures to highly complex enterprises. Candidate must possess a current TS/SCI clearance.

ABOUT THE JOB

This internship could lead to a full-time position as a Satellite Operator, responsible for transmitting, receiving, and logging of satellite communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engineering support and operations of research and development satellites
• Pre-launch, launch, and early orbit mission planning
• On-orbit operations
• Anomaly resolution
• Transmitting, receiving, and logging of satellite communications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Possess an active TS/SCI clearance
• Ability to quickly learn new software and technical subjects
• Work well in both a team environment and executing individual tasks
• General knowledge of spacecraft subsystems, orbit dynamics, and ground systems
• Working knowledge of Telemetry, Tracking and Commanding (TT&C) and Ground Control (GC) applications
• Experience maintaining situational awareness for satellite system activities
• Experience working in an operational environment

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY

Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active TS/SCI clearance. Ability to quickly learn new software and technical subjects. Work well in both a team environment and executing individual tasks. Experience working in an operational environment desired.
