Motor City Metal is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team through the DoD SkillBridge program. This is an outstanding opportunity for transitioning Active Duty Service Members to apply their military leadership, planning, and execution experience in a civilian project management environment.As a Project Manager, you will support the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, methodologies and cross-functional collaboration. You will work alongside experienced project leaders and contribute to real-world initiatives that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities-Lead and support projects from initiation through closure, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.-Develop and maintain project plans, schedules (using MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet), and status reports.-Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.-Facilitate project meetings, risk assessments, and lessons learned sessions.-Track project performance using key metrics and dashboards; provide regular updates to leadership.Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.-Support continuous improvement initiatives and help refine project management processes.-Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government and commercial partners.-Document project decisions, and outcomes in accordance with company standards.
