Providence Construction Group LLC is seeking motivated transitioning U.S. Service Members for a DoD SkillBridge training opportunity supporting a Construction Project Manager career pathway. This structured, instructor-led program blends formal training with supervised practical application in a remote environment.Participants will gain real-world exposure to construction project workflows from pre-construction through close-out, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, risk management, and client communication. The program aligns with PMI-style project management practices and helps participants build experience relevant to PMP eligibility requirements (no certification is issued during the program).
SkillBridge participant will train as a Remote Construction Project Manager by completing instructor-led coursework and supervised practical application aligned with civilian construction management standards. Training includes: project lifecycle management (pre-construction through close-out), scope and documentation review, schedule development and updates (WBS, CPM, Gantt, milestones), budget creation and cost tracking, change order fundamentals, subcontractor/vendor coordination, risk/issue tracking, quality and safety documentation (OSHA overview), and client/stakeholder communications including status reporting and professional correspondence. Participant will use common remote PM tools including Excel/Google Sheets, Teams/Zoom, email/shared documents, and a construction management platform (e.g., Procore or equivalent). Program culminates in a capstone project presentation and final evaluation.

Program is structured, supervised, and primarily educational; no wages are paid; participants are not used as free labor; training is outcome-driven and aligned to DoD SkillBridge requirements. This is a 100% remote/virtual SkillBridge opportunity and may be completed from any U.S. military installation or approved remote location, subject to the Service Member’s command and installation SkillBridge approval. Participants must have reliable internet access and the ability to attend scheduled virtual instruction, meetings, and check-ins.
