This is a supervised internship experience with Cyber B.A.T., a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business in the software and systems engineering field. The internship shall provide training in systems analysis, Information Assurance and secure software development.

ABOUT THE JOB

- Covers the fundamental elements of the entire cybersecurity field – from security and risk management to communication and network security to security testing and operations. - Understands and knows how to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems. - Develop servicemember abilities to communicate effectively and work independently or as a team member in a contractor technology setting. - Increase servicemember’s knowledge of how defense contractors use software-based tools and applications, developing solutions and management tools, or administering a computer network environment. - An overview of the Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management processes as defined in the Department of Defense. - Explain the Agile approach in the DoD acquisition context and assist those considering implementing an Agile approach. - Transforming, linking, and analyzing data; including a broad range of charts and interactive dashboards. - Manage large datasets efficiently, extract meaningful information from datasets, present data and extract information effectively. - Fundamentals of data science, data science methodologies, how to build a data analytics team and manage a data analytics project. - Administering federal government contracts in ways that ensure that the contractor performs the requirements and delivers a usable end item or service to the Government in a timely and efficient manner. - Evaluating Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation steps a PM should take for an acquisition program to operate in a cyber-contested environment. - How to accomplish analysis of risks to the supply chain and detailing the requirements for acquisition program protection documents such as the Program Protection Plan, Cybersecurity Strategy, and security plans. - An overarching understanding of the many tasks that must be accomplished to manage such projects so that they result in successful transition to the intended customer. - Establishes how Models, Simulations, and Digital Engineering can be a benefit over the entire system life cycle and how Models, Simulations and Digital Engineering can support Systems Engineering processes. - Reinforces concepts that are foundational to achieving optimal Information Technology (IT) Systems Continuous Support by increasing credential recipient's ability to identify, plan, resource and acquire the facilities, hardware, software, firmware, documentation, manpower and personnel necessary for planning and conducting lifecycle management of computer hardware and software systems. - Coursework and hand-on training in systems analysis and program requirements assessment. - Design and programming of tailored projects in web development and data analytics; use of software development frameworks to build and test in innovations research efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • Four (4) years of demonstrated combined experience in DoD/IC cybersecurity, software development, and/or Information Technology systems.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY

Must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph. Must possess a bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience OR ten (10) years of experience
