A Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment at customer sites. This role combines technical expertise with hands-on fieldwork, supporting critical systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.FSEs work directly with clients to diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and implement solutions on equipment such as medical imaging systems, semiconductor tools, or industrial machinery. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to read technical documentation, and comfort working independently in fast-paced environments.In addition to technical work, Field Service Engineers serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing clear communication, training, and support. The position often involves local and regional travel, adaptability, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with installation, calibration, and servicing of medical imaging equipmentPerform preventive maintenance and system inspectionsTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issuesRead and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and documentationSupport senior engineers in field operations and service callsMaintain accurate service reports and documentationEnsure compliance with safety and quality standardsProvide professional customer support at client sites
Must meet eligibility requirements including valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50+ lbs, willingness to travel extensively, ability to pass background screening, and work in customer-facing field environments
