Radiology Technician Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center

The intern will gain skills useful in their specified modality (General Radiology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology). Additionally, the intern will become familiar with electronic healthcare documentation methods/requirements and will work with other technologists to meet the diverse needs of the healthcare setting.

ABOUT THE JOB

This position is in the Radiology Service at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. The Intern will work as a team member under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist Supervisor or designee to perform a range of supervised radiology-specific duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gain skills in specified modalities such as General Radiology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology
• Become familiar with electronic healthcare documentation methods/requirements
• Work with other technologists to meet the diverse needs of the healthcare setting
• Perform a range of supervised radiology-specific duties under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist Supervisor or designee

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certifications Technologists registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in one or more specialties
