Ranch Manager
TCOA is proud to support transitioning service members through the DoD SkillBridge Program. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated intern to serve as a Hunting Ranch Manager. This is a unique opportunity for a veteran with leadership, logistics, and field operations experience to gain hands-on knowledge in wildlife management, outdoor hospitality, and ranch operations.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Hunting Ranch Manager Intern will assist in the day-to-day management of ranch operations, including hunting activities, land and wildlife management, equipment maintenance, and guest services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors, strong organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support seasonal game management strategies (deer, turkey, hogs, exotics, etc.)
- Assist with habitat and land management including feeding programs, water systems, and trail maintenance
- Guide hunting clients and ensure a safe, ethical hunting experience
- Maintain and operate ranch vehicles, ATVs, tractors, and equipment
- Monitor and manage game cameras and wildlife populations
- Help with lodging operations including client hospitality and camp logistics
- Oversee seasonal staff and coordinate with vendors and contractors
- Assist with marketing, social media, and event planning (optional)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Duty service member approved for SkillBridge participation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in field operations, logistics, or team management
- Familiarity with hunting practices and firearms safety
- Mechanically inclined with basic equipment maintenance skills
- Passion for wildlife, conservation, and outdoor lifestyle
- Willingness to work in a rural, outdoor environment
