Each applicant that is approved to do Skill Bridge with our department will have an individual training plain created based off current qualification and experience and desired goals that are wanting to be attained during Skill Bridge,
Controls and extinguishes fires and engages in search and rescue for the preservation of life and property. Responds to all medical emergencies and administers life saving measures as defined by the State Department of Health and Regional Emergency Medical protocol for a certified paramedic in Advance Life Support (ALS), or EMT in Basic Life Support (BLS). Maintains apparatus, quarters, buildings, equipment, and grounds as directed.
Highly recommended that the applicant already possess or be in the process of obtaining their EMT-B or Paramedic license.
Skill bridge will be conducted out of Station 1 within the city limits of Anacortes.
