The Administrative Officer for Direct Reporting Portfolio Manager for Submarines (DRPM SUBS) supports the Navy’s Direct Reporting Portfolio Manager for Submarines, an organization responsible for oversight of all major submarine programs, by managing and coordinating all official correspondence in compliance with Department of the Navy formatting, policy, and routing requirements. This Action Officer will work closely with senior leaders and Program Executive Offices, ensuring documents are accurate, complete, grammatically correct, and aligned with Navy standards, while maintaining a 95 percent compliance rate for all submissions. The position requires strong expertise in SECNAV correspondence and directives manuals, previous chief-level experience, and the ability to develop records management policies, track task progress for leadership visibility, and communicate effectively to resolve issues related to correspondence and records management, along with performing additional assigned duties.
- Proficient and knowledgeable in DOD and Naval Correspondence Manual SECNAV 5216.5 and Directives Management Manual SECNAV M5215.1 with a full understanding of the business rules as set forth by DRPM SUBS/PAE Undersea policy. - Ensure Flag Office achieves format accuracy compliance with 95% of all correspondence and policy packages submitted for review and final signature. - Ensure all outgoing and incoming correspondence complies with Department of the Navy (DON) formatting, policy, and routing requirements. - Review documents for accuracy, completeness, grammar, and compliance with Navy correspondence standards before leadership signature - Employee will manage, track, and coordinate all official correspondence for DRPM SUBS, ensuring all outgoing and incoming correspondence complies with Department of the Navy (DON) formatting, policy, and routing requirements - Employee will generate task completion reports to track efficiency and provide leadership with real-time visibility into task progress for informed decision-making. - Employee will develop records management policies and procedures to meet Navy regulations. - Employee will leverage strong oral and written communication skills to resolve problems, issues, or questions relating to records management. - Employee will complete other duties as assigned
