Aviation Education Academy is offering a hands-on SkillBridge opportunity for transitioning service members interested in aviation manufacturing, education, and workforce development. The Production Assistant supports the design and manufacturing of aviation and avionics educational training aids used in FAA-aligned technical training programs. This role provides direct exposure to real-world production environments while contributing to the assembly, fabrication, wiring preparation, labeling, packaging, inspection, and movement of parts and subassemblies throughout the production process.Working under the supervision of an experienced FAA-certificated aircraft mechanic, participants will assist with basic mechanical assembly, fastening, visual inspection, documentation, inventory control, kitting, and maintaining clean, organized, and FOD-free work areas. All work is performed in accordance with approved designs, safety requirements, quality standards, and structured production schedules—offering valuable experience in disciplined, aviation-focused manufacturing operations.The program is led by Jared Britt, Founder and CEO of Aviation Education Academy, who brings over 20 years of experience as an FAA-certificated aircraft mechanic, aviation professional, and educator. With extensive expertise in aircraft maintenance, fabrication, FAA Part 147 certification, and the design and manufacture of aviation training devices, Mr. Britt provides mentorship grounded in real-world maintenance and regulatory standards. The Production Assistant supports the manufacturing of aviation and avionics educational training aids by assisting with the assembly, fabrication, and movement of parts, materials, and subassemblies throughout the production area. Working under the supervision of an experienced aircraft mechanic with expertise in the design and construction of education aviation training devices, this role performs basic assembly, fastening, wiring preparation, labeling, packaging, and visual inspection tasks to verify workmanship and conformity. The Production Assistant helps maintain clean, organized, and FOD-free work areas; supports inventory control, kitting, and production changeovers; completes required production documentation; and identifies and reports damaged, missing, or non-conforming items. All work is performed in accordance with approved designs, safety requirements, quality standards, and production schedules.
